The foundation

The work started early.

Peter was born in 1984 and raised in Anderson Valley. By 14 or 15, he was on the job. By 18, he was working nearly full-time. He has been in construction ever since.

Most of that work was custom residential construction. Peter learned the entire process: site work, concrete, framing, structural work, finish carpentry, equipment operation and plan reading. Just as important, he learned how to organize the work, keep a crew moving, solve field problems, work safely and finish what was started.

Carrying the whole project

Experience became ownership.

That experience eventually grew into building and developing properties of his own. Peter built his Old Mill residence and garage, designed, permitted and built the 4,000-square-foot Philo Mill shop for his own business, developed the Lakeport ranch and its 100-by-100-foot metal building, cleared the Clayton, Idaho property and took it to a permitted build-ready site, owned and improved Wild Iris Retreat, and built and operates Poleeko Basecamp.

Those projects required more than construction. They meant evaluating raw land, planning access, water, power, septic and drainage, coordinating labor and materials, dealing with permits and carrying each project from the first decision through the finished result.

Anderson Valley firsthand

Builder’s judgment before the first shovel.

Peter has built, owned and operated homes, ranches and hospitality properties in Anderson Valley and beyond. That experience shapes how he reads a property and how he approaches the work.

Today, PB General Construction takes on rural homes, remodels, barns, cabins, concrete and site work in Anderson Valley and surrounding counties. If you are considering land first, Peter can also help identify the construction realities the listing does not show.

“The goal isn’t to talk you into a property. It’s to identify the expensive problems before you commit.”

How PB works

Direct responsibility from start to finish.

Start with the real property, the real conditions and the real goal.

Define the scope, put the right people in place and solve field problems as they come.

Keep the work moving, communicate clearly and stand behind the finished result.
